The cleaning operation of Mer de Glace in Chamonix is ​​on the way

Today, cleanse Mer de Glace, Mont Blanc glacier on the Chamonix slope.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary, the "Cleaning Up the Mer de Glace" operation comes back with the name "Operation Montagne Responsable" and is sponsored by European Mobility Week. The Mer de Glace glacier, in Italian "Sea of ​​Ice", is 7 km long and every summer attracts thousands of tourists more or less beneducated. There will be about 100 volunteers who will battle the glacier in search of waste. As it is said, it begins today when there will be an exhibition in the famous French town to show the objects found on the glacier at the Lafuma store. Then the cleaning operation starts with the Montenvers station. In the past, the wastes found were of the most varied types: from skis, to boxes, to large pieces of wood taken from the shelters' constructions.
