The Alleghe ice rink has to close, after the August electricity bill has reached 53,000 euros. The historic Alpine ice hockey center closes; The announcement came from the Municipality that denounced how the electricity bill of just one month in recent years was enough to cover half of the annual budget.

According to what was reported today by the newspaper L''Adige, in July it was decided to postpone the summer opening of the facility by a month, used by hockey teams, by over one hundred artistic skaters and for leisure by citizens and vacationers. Unfortunately, the August bulletin alone blew up the scores. At the moment, therefore, it closes, with the hope that the expected government interventions, if not other European measures on the energy markets, will bring costs back to acceptable levels.
Too bad also because the plant is a point of reference for the whole Agordino. We hope that other similar ones will not soon follow this communication, in particular of sports facilities in the mountains, where heating costs are always important.
The hope is that the measures of the government or the European community will soon change things.
