The Municipality of Domodossola has given the green light for the implementation of the first operational phase of the Development Plan for Domobianca. For the three-year period 2020/2022 approximately 4.5 million euros of investments are planned.

The Altair Spa Group, which recently bought the company Sciovie Lusentino e Moncucco srl, transforming it into Domobianca srl, has launched the "Domobianca - mountain 365" project which intends not only to enhance and improve the winter offer of the ski resort of the capital Ossola, but also to create new opportunities to experience the Domese mountain even in the summer season.
The goal is to make the mountains live 365 days a year with low environmental impact interventions.
For the 2020/2021 season, the Development Plan for Domobianca presents the following projects, some of which have been authorized and others are in the authorization phase:
- Construction of the external terrace plate and internal modifications of the ticket office building serving the Motti chairlift
- Extension of the multipurpose facility for outdoor ski school activities
- Parking arrangement in the locality of Pianezza serving the station and the lifts
- Construction of a covered path connecting the Ronchetti car park and the Pianezza car park
- Redevelopment of facades and roofing of the valley station of the Prel chairlift
- Renovation and extension of the mountain station of the Monti chairlift with redevelopment and expansion of the self service
- Enlargement of the Casalavera lake with municipal land leveling to be used as pasture
- Installation of two new treadmills, increase in the number of cannons for artificial snow and extraordinary maintenance of the systems
For the 2021/2022 season, the Development Plan for Domobianca presents the following projects that are still to be authorized:
- Construction of a widespread campsite with bungalows
- Creation of a zipline from the slopes of Moncucco to Pianezza
- Construction of a funbob system which starts from Casalavera and arrives at the Pianezza
- Redevelopment of the “former cross-country track” area with the construction of a new lake
- Construction of a new downhill track
- Completion of computerization of the area

All in the total guarantee of the correct balance between the expansion of the site's offer and respect for the environmental context. We hope, in this difficult moment, that national policies can also find another balance, that between the needs of health protection and the world of work ”are the words of the Mayor of Domodossola, Lucio Pizzi.

Among the implementations of the service that are being implemented there are also a series of measures to try to limit the queues at the station ticket office; specifically, an info point will be activated in the city and a new app for online ticket booking is being prepared in time.
