Starts the World Rookie Tour 2008/2009

The furious Black Yeti will lead the best rookies from around the world in "Conquest era of snowboarding," which will compete for the title of World Rookie Champion 2009. Showing the future stars of snowboarding, the World Rookie Tour 08/09 will offer young people a fair chance of entering the professional level and win great prizes inu na series of international junior events from 1 to 4 stars.

The Rookie Tour 08/09 has already started last summer with the Australian Junior Series and is now ready to begin again in the Northern Hemisphere with stops in Europe and Asia, a calendar of events for the whole season. The tour will culminate in April 2009 with the Swatch TTR 4star "Protest World Rookie Finals 09" in Ischgl, Austria.

The format of "Rookie Fest" has consolitado years and includes slope style, sports, entertainment, educational activities and a time for getting together riders of different nationalities. The "World Rookie Tour" is a perfect example of the structure "rookie-to-pro", which works so well also thanks to the cooperation between WSF and TTR. These rookie fests are not only competitive but encompasses a range of other activities to help rookies grow in the field of professional snowboarding, such as the ability to participate in photo & video shootings, avalanche and rescue clinics, meeting with photographers and international team managers, parties and big prizes.

The variety of prizes you can win the Rookie Fest are: "Protest Rookie Surf & Beach Camp" for summer 2009 in France, an interview with On Board Europe and Tacky, tickets to other events class snowboarding, an exclusive opportunity to participate in a photo & video shooting of Pirate Movie Productions and many other amazing prizes to support the career of the best rookies who wish to become professional.

The title of World Rookie Champion will be awarded to the winner of the Protest World Rookie Finals in Ischgl, reserved for the best riders from previous Rookie Fests, plus selected riders from National Snowboard Associations and the top 30 of the new World Rookie Rank. All sections are reserved to Rookies (born from 1st January 1991 and December 31, 1993) and Grom (born after January 1, 1994), boys and girls.
