Livigno Team great protagonist of the February world events, from Moioli to Bormolini, from Cusini to Silvestri

The boys of the Livigno team are expected in Sweden, Slovenia and Finland in the various world championships.

From the peaks of Finland to the snow of Slovenia, passing through the suggestive Swedish slopes: in the next 30 days, the whole of Europe will become one big stage for the athletes of the Livigno Team who, in addition to the blue ones, will also defend the colors of Livigno, on the occasion of the various world championships scheduled in the coming weeks. Let's start from Finland, where Nicolò Cusini and Veronica Silvestri will be involved on the Vuokatti ring, starting from today and until February 14, on the occasion of the Youth Cross-Country Skiing World Championships. Veronica, fresh from the double victory at the Italian Youth Championships, said she was confident and excited, for an appointment that could reserve her important satisfactions: „The results at the Italian Championships give me great confidence because they testify to the quality of the work done so far and give me great awareness ahead of the races in Finland. These World Championships will be an important testing ground to gain experience and to understand my value compared to the best athletes in my category “. Nicolò and Veronica prepared for the appointment by training at home on the heights, on the friendly snows of Livigno, making the most of the 30 kilometers of slopes made available by Little Tibet. A useful wealth to take care of even the smallest details: "It will be a first time for me, and it will also be interesting to understand the general level of the opponents - these are the words of Cusini - In Livigno, in training, we have fixed the last details, in search of the right brilliance to aspire to something important ". Great expectations also for Michela Moioli, the spearhead of snowboard cross, who after her winning debut in the World Cup is aiming for the only gold that is still missing in her very personal wall: the world one. The appointment with history is set in Idre Fjall, Sweden, on Thursday 11 February, a fundamental and deeply symbolic stage also in view of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics which will be held in Livigno. “Let's say that if the race goes well, then maybe the World Cup will also become“ mine ”. But to make it go well, I have to stay focused on myself, on the thoughts that help me go fast, on having fun and entertaining those who are watching me, "said Michela, closing with a thought for her friend Sofia Goggia. “I will race thinking of those who love me and cheer for me, my family, and also my friend Goggia”. From today to February 21, however, the Biathlon World Championships will be held in Pokljuka, Slovenia, with Thomas Bormolini at the starting line. Kermesse that occurs at a magical moment in Thomas's career who last month took a wonderful opportunity in the World Cup, thanks to the third place in the relay, to which the Livigno Team athlete contributed with a perfect first leg, both on skis and at the shooting range. “The podium does not change my expectations, because creating unnecessary pressure only risks making me lose concentration. There is certainly the awareness that you can do very well, both in team and individual competitions. If the day is a good one, nothing is precluded ”. Finally, the return to very high levels of Maurizio Bormolini should also be noted. The athlete from Valtellina, who has returned from a long injury and immediately hitting two top 10 in the World Cup, could be among the starters for the Alpine Snowboard World Championships, scheduled for the beginning of March in Rogla, Slovenia. Weeks that promise to be full of emotions and unmissable events for the Livigno-branded athletes, who best represent the Valtellinese locality even on the most important stages. A winning combination, where sport and territory work together, to support and feed the world championship dreams of numerous Italian athletes.

Argentera

Argentera
