An expected renewal to relaunch a decidedly important ski resort like that of Macugnaga, in the heart of the Monte Rosa district, and enhance the entire territory of the Anzasca Valley and of the Valsesia itself.
The Piedmont Region and Monterosa 2000, the company that manages the Alagna plants, have officially signed the agreement to start the work on the rebuilding of the Pecetto-Burki-Belvedere ski lift, with an allocation by the Region of 7.5 million.
"In view of this agreement, the Municipality will acquire shares in the share capital of Monterosa 2000 S.p.A. - explains the mayor of Macugnaga, Stefano Corsi - and will proceed with the construction of the indispensable maintenance works for the Staffa-Bill and Bill-Monte Moro cable cars â€.
The vice president of the Piedmont Region, Aldo Reschigna, has played a fundamental role in these months of negotiations and programs: "We have maintained a commitment made, to give life to a significant investment that looks to the mountains and to the development of mountain tourism in a area that has been waiting for regional intervention for many years. Macugnaga and Monte Rosa can become one of the strategic ski poles of the whole of Piedmont ".
It should be remembered that, last November, there was the historic signature for the creation of a single management company for the Valsesia ski resorts, with the merger between Alpe di Mera and Monterosa 2000, but the dream confessed by the mayor Corsi is another. "We share with the Region - said the first citizen of Macugnaga a few weeks ago - the desire to get to have a single area of Monte Rosa, which also links up with the already existing one. There is a negotiation with the company Monte Rosa 2000 (which manages the part of Alagna) to crown this dream ".

Mottarone
Il Mottarone, alto 1.492 metri, sorge in una posizione privilegiata tra il Lago Maggiore e il Lago d’Orta. La sua vetta arrotondata è uno dei balconi panoramici più spettacolari del Piemonte: nelle giornate limpide lo sguardo abbraccia sette laghi, la Pianura Padana e gran parte dell’arco alpino, dal Monviso al Monte Rosa fino alle montagne svizzere. Questa cornice, più che le dimensioni del comprensorio, rappresenta il vero elemento distintivo della località.
