Prato Nevoso opens the lifts for athletes and ski clubs

The Piedmontese ski resort has decided to open facilities for athletes and ski clubs. A choice that will hardly be sustainable from an economic point of view, but which wants to convey a message: to continue working to secure the station for the good of its guests, the territory and tourism.

In this period of great difficulty for the winter tourism sector, some ski resorts do not stop completely. Among these is Prato Nevoso, a Piedmontese station, which will open the ski lifts and some slopes for the training of athletes and ski clubs as soon as conditions allow it. "We opted for a choice in line with the limits imposed by the next Dpcm which would allow the slopes and facilities to be opened for athletes and ski clubs". Prato Nevoso will thus be one of the first winter resorts in Piedmont to dissolve reserves by announcing an opening. “For us this is a sign of optimism in such a difficult moment for the whole country. We are not concerned only with reiterating the economic reasons of a sector, which also moves a billion euros only in Piedmont, but underlining the need for an entire economy that wants to restart. In the best way: from sport, giving competitive athletes the opportunity to train on our tracks ”says Gianluca Oliva, CEO of Prato Nevoso Spa. Gianluca Oliva also expresses his opinion on the Government's decision not to open the ski lifts at Christmas: "An absolutely wrong choice by the Government not to meet the ski resorts, allowing at least access to the facilities to home owners or those who slept in hotel. The mountains are one of the safest places that there are at the moment where you can enjoy carefree days but at the same time in maximum safety ".

Argentera

Argentera
