Montecampione, green light for the "Territorial Pact" for the development of the area

The Lombardy Region has given its green light to the proposed "Territorial Pact" for the strategic, integrated and sustainable development of the Montecampione-Lower Valle Camonica District, in the province of Brescia. This is foreseen by the resolution approved by the Regional Council, on the proposal of the Councilor for the Mountains, local authorities and small municipalities.

"With this deed - explains Massimo Sertori, Councilor for the mountains and local authorities - Lombardy Region adheres to the territorial pact proposal presented by the lead partner, municipality of Artogne, called '' Territorial Pact for the strategic, integrated and sustainable development of the ski area of Montecampione-Bassa Valle Camonica in the province of Brescia. '' Proposal aimed at the realization of three strategic infrastructural interventions for the area such as the replacement / construction of the '' Dosso delle Beccherie '', '' Secondino-Monte Splaza '' and ' 'Longarino-Monte Splaza' '". The interventions for the implementation of the territorial pact proposal for the Montecampione district amount to 13,165,900 euros. The Municipality of Artogne and the Mountain Community of Valle Camonica will contribute to the co-financing for a share of 5,682,950 euros. Through the proposal for a Territorial Pact, the partnership requests the Lombardy Region to co-finance the remaining amount for a total of 7,482,950 euros. "In general, the objective of the proposal - continues the Valtellinese Regional Councilor - is to promote economic, environmental and social development of the territories involved, which is combined with the objectives linked to the fight against the depopulation of mountain areas and the seasonal adjustment of presences. The Pact presented - he concludes - is the result of a concerted and synergistic path carried out by the local Authorities which defined the strategies and needs of the territory, in order to achieve the objective of pursuing the socio-economic development of the District ". "This is an important opportunity to increase the tourist-sporting attractiveness of an area with interesting potential which - underlined Antonio Rossi, the Regional Undersecretary for Sport, 2026 Olympics and Major Events - will also benefit the portfolio regional ski area. An overall offer that will take on particular importance on the occasion of the Five-circle Games scheduled in our mountains in four years, when the attention of winter sports enthusiasts from all over the world will be directed to our splendid Lombardy ". "An important infrastructural intervention that will allow an entire territory to become increasingly welcoming and attractive, with efficient services and an avant-garde tourist offer. Once again, the Lombardy Region concretely supports its mountains, a privileged destination for thousands of visitors "announced Lara Magoni, Regional Councilor for Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Fashion of the Lombardy Region.

Argentera

Argentera
