The second giant Chinese indoor skidome of the Wanda Group will be inaugurated on June 15, 2019.

The Guangzhou Wanda Cultural Tourism City, announced for the first time in 2016, is a 50 billion yuan (about $ 7 billion USD) investment project located in the city's Huadu district. It covers 154 hectares and has a total area of ​​3.8 million square meters. It will include a Wanda shopping center, an outdoor theme park, a theater show, a movie city, a water park, numerous hotels, a street of bars and more.
The indoor ski area will include four ski slopes with different slopes, the longest of which will be 460 meters, with a maximum vertical drop of 66 meters - placing it in the top 5 of the world for length of slopes and ski area. The ski area will be able to accommodate up to 3,000 skiers at a time.
The world's largest covered snow-covered center with an area of ​​80,000 square meters is located in Harbin, in the north-east of the country, and was opened by the Wanda Group last year. Guangzhou also known as Canton, is located in the south of China on the Pearl River, about 120 km northwest of Hong Kong and is one of the three largest cities in China with a population of nearly 15 million.
"As a key development for southern China, we estimate an estimated 20 million visitors for the first year in Guangzhou at this center," said Andrew Kam, Wanda Travel Culture Innovation Group's senior vice president and Beijing Wanda president Themed Entertainment. We are expecting even more turnout in the second year. "Rather than compete with existing players head-to-head, we will make the cake bigger. We will do this by focusing on new types of products, that is to say the second largest indoor ski area in the world ".
China has already opened the largest number of indoor snowmaking centers in the world with a report that claims that 18 are currently operating, more than double that of any other country. Founded in 1988, the Wanda Group is headquartered in Beijing and is considered the world's largest privately owned developer.
