Piancavallo is an elegant mountain town in the Pordenone area, with the ski lifts that wind from the town, consisting of some neighborhoods joined in a lively tourist village, strongly characterized in the alpine dimension of the places.

Its flagships are three: a large snow park, which offers freestylers the opportunity to try out between jump and rail, the bordercross and skicross track for snowborder and skiers and a ski touring slope. Every Wednesday and Friday it is also possible to use the ski mountaineering route for the ascent and the Salomon slope for the descent to the valley.
The descent on the rail bobsleigh is thrilling. From 1500 it descends in a swoop with an average gradient of 15%. You can also take part in snowshoeing, ice-skating in the ice arena, sliding on snow tubing and, for the little ones, have fun in the Nevelandia playground.
Sport Events Italian snowboarding championships - Piancavallo, March 25-29, 2019 During the Piancavallo competitions, the best national athletes will participate, including Michela Moioli, Olympic gold at PyeongChang and the World Cup, and Roland Fischnaller, the parallel Slalom World Cup. The athletes will compete in parallel, giant and bordercross slalom disciplines.
Extra-ski activities In addition to skiing, Piancavallo offers many other activities on the snow with the Wintercavallo program. Snowshoeing at the disposal, activities for the whole family with investigations in the woods or the study of traces in the snow, but also snowshoeing with crime and the discovery of the forest with the five senses.

Mottarone
Il Mottarone, alto 1.492 metri, sorge in una posizione privilegiata tra il Lago Maggiore e il Lago d’Orta. La sua vetta arrotondata è uno dei balconi panoramici più spettacolari del Piemonte: nelle giornate limpide lo sguardo abbraccia sette laghi, la Pianura Padana e gran parte dell’arco alpino, dal Monviso al Monte Rosa fino alle montagne svizzere. Questa cornice, più che le dimensioni del comprensorio, rappresenta il vero elemento distintivo della località.
