The realization of this link is not economically viable without public intervention since it would cost 80 million and 400 thousand euros. The idea of ​​the link is that Cogne has mainly summer tourism and Pila instead of winter, so the two Valleys resorts seem complementary. In fact, the facilities of the Pila area in the high season and in the main weekend of winter are to be considered already at the limit of capacity.
The technical report also assumes the closure of the current Cogne ski area for 600 thousand euros a year or to the limit of resizing its facilities, among other things, the region has recently funded an artificial snow plant. The Cogne-Pila link provides a 3s cableway, that is threefire, from Cogne to the Platta de Grevon, for which the feasibility is far from off and a telecabine between Platta and Pila. The Cogne slope is steep and affected by landslides and avalanches, and the supports are in high-risk areas. The plant would also be oversized with a capacity of 1200 people and difficulty evacuating in the event of an accident. The telescope on the Pila slope, which would cost 27.9 million, would be convenient because the chairlifts Liaison and Couis 1 and the Platta de Grevon treadmill would be closed, and would also flow from the Chamolé and Leissé chairlifts, often full of weekends .
