In December the new Piz Seteur cable car in Val Gardena

Next December, the Val Gardena visitors will have a great surprise: the new 10-seater Piz Seteur will be inaugurated, which will be the most modern monofire plant ever made in the world by Leitner Ropeways.

The plant, as reported by funivie.org, will present for the first time three new things to the world. The first, to increase the boarding surface for the same length, the valley station will have an unprecedented asymmetric shape that will allow you to board at just 6 cabins with 90-second dwell time. The mountain station will also be equipped with an asymmetrical "banana" path to maximize the landing area for the same length and allow a slower transit of cabins. Another novelty: on this plant we will see for the first time the new Symphony 10 cabins, built after the success of the Symphony 3S model that equipped the 3S Stubaital and Zermatt-Cervino plants. It is a model designed from scratch with numerous peculiarities including individually heated seats and an amplitude greater than what has been achieved so far with the well-known Diamonds. The sliding doors will allow an access width of 90 cm to facilitate boarding and disembarking with greater safety and convenience. The whole vehicle will be wider and taller to increase travel comfort. Finally, the third and final novelty: the intermediate and upstream stations will be equipped with new covers designed by Pininfarina, which perfectly fit the design of the new cabins. Apart from providing technical solutions to improving maintenance, they will be particularly compact and easy to integrate into the surrounding environment with low visual impact. The 10-seat cabin will replace the old chairlift and will be part of the reorganization and summer opening of the line that, with the summer opening of the 8-seater chair lift "Gran Paradiso", will allow you to reach the Sella Pass with both Mountain bikes that walk. From the summer of 2018, a new Bike Park will be built with three levels of difficulty exploiting the first trunk, which will be limited in the summer season. During the winter, the new line will allow a connection with the Anti-clockwise Scooter thanks to the Gran Paradiso chairlifts and the City of the Sassi. Two words on the stations. The valley station will be postponed, housed in a newly built and partially undercover building that will stand next to Hotel Gruppo Sella and will be signed by the designer Perathoner who has already signed the Dantercepies cable car stations and other well-known structures in Val Gardena. Upstairs offices and apartments will be built up for the staff of the company. The angular intermediate station will house the two engine winches, both with direct drive without gearbox, for extreme quietness and great reliability thanks to the engines operated by 8 independent inverters that can be operated even in single pairs in case of breakdowns. The mountain station will instead be a simple reference to limit the size and environmental impact. These are the technical features of the new plant: 1456 m in length 313 m of altitude difference 3 stations 3450 people / hour per direction 77 new generation vehicles 90 seconds of dwell time 14 pylons 710 kW of installed power

Argentera

Argentera
