The Eclipse. It is scary just to name it and it will be the track of all the men's races of the 2023 world championships, those scheduled on the slopes of Courchevel-Méribel.
The name chosen for the great news of the world championship event that will follow the 2021 edition of Cortina has been announced; in recent months, the French technicians had defined it as an exceptional track for fast tests, second in difficulty only to the Stelvio in Bormio. Here is Dominik Paris, who will be "only" 33 years old at the time of the French World Championship, competing on the track that starts from Loze (the mountain that will represent the queen stage of the Tour de France, which will arrive on that peak on September 16) at 2234 meters, to get to an altitude of 1300 meters (at the height of the jumpers used for the 1992 Olympic Games), it would be really tantalizing since it will take a lot of courage to jump on the 3200 meters in length of a track with really steep sections and big jumps.
At Ski Chrono, the managers explained that the new track will be available from next winter for the first training sessions and then the opening races, with some FIS scheduled (Covid permitting) from 8 to 14 March 2021. The real test event will be the 2022 World Cup finals, just under a year before the big appointment with the world medals.

Argentera si trova nell’alta Valle Stura, a pochi chilometri dal Colle della Maddalena e dal confine francese, in uno degli ambienti più appartati e selvaggi delle Alpi Marittime.
