The British Icon Infrastructure fund has acquired 100% of Sestrieres Spa. Objective: to relaunch the Piedmontese area.

Agreement made. On January 22, Icon Infrastructure signed the acquisition of 100% of Sestrieres Spa, the company that manages the Vialattea (47 ski lifts for 305 km of ski slopes), through an operation worth 90 million euros.
The President Giovanni Brasso should remain at the helm: "I am very satisfied to have found in Icon Infrastructure a solid and proactive investor who will surely bring the company new incentives, motivations and investments, with the will to respect and make the territory grow and confirm the place that Sestrieres has always had and deserves in the ski sector ".
Employment levels will also remain unchanged. One of Icon Infrastructure's objectives is the relaunch of the area with investments of over 30 million euros. Furthermore, further investments are planned in digitization, in commercial and marketing strategies to attract national and international tourism.
"With this transaction, we have the opportunity to acquire one of the largest companies operating in the ski resort sector in Italy - said Iain Macleod, Managing Partner of Icon Infrastructure - We look forward to working closely with the management team and local municipalities to further develop the district. We intend to support a long-term development plan for the benefit of the business and the local communities and institutions as a whole ".
