The journey of the ProUp guides in Norway continues. A lot of snow fell during the second day. A morning trip to Durmalsfjellet and then to the Federfjellet peak amidst breathtaking views. Here is the story of the guys from the ProUp Team.

The buildings are all very similar: well insulated prefabricated buildings of various colors, from houses to shops, to clubs. Almost all of the houses have an attached shed that serves as a garage or for hanging stockfish. To tell the truth, there is only one coop minimarket in the area where we are located and within 30 km we encountered a couple of bars, none of which unfortunately stocked with beer ...
Fortunately, at least we have snow. A lot. She went down all day flying over the mountains of the fjords in turn. First excursion in the morning Durmalsfjellet (1019m): we manage to climb 750m, then the storm precludes us from the summit. But what dust in the woods! Slalom among the birches taking advantage of even the steepest sections.
In the afternoon we move to the Federfjellet peak (900m): a nice panettone with an initial pine forest and a nice cream on the top. Breathtaking panorama of mountains mirrored in the water. A bit of fog at the top, but we find perfect lines in 40cm of fresh air throughout the descent. Great final dinner "in the family" to crown this second day in the white.

Dolomiti UNESCO, il bilancio di Banca d'Italia: +9% di pernottamenti senza consumare più territorio
Il paper di Banca d'Italia analizza gli effetti sui flussi turistici e sull'ambiente nei 4 anni successivi all'iscrizione delle Dolomiti nella lista dei Patrimoni Mondiali dell'Umanità, avvenuta nel 2009. A fronte di un incremento delle presenze, il numero di strutture turistiche non è cresciuto e quello di posti letto si è ridotto. Ai maggiori flussi turistici non si è associato né un aumento del consumo di suolo né una maggiore produzione di rifiuti, dimostrando il potenziale del riconoscimento UNESCO nel generare benefici economici locali senza compromettere la qualità ambientale, a condizione che siano in atto un efficace coordinamento istituzionale e solide garanzie normative.
