A weekend with little blue, and the absence of Michela Moioli, triumphant here three times, certainly weighed on a national snowboard cross team that fails to get on the podium in the double home event. Breuil-Cervinia once again hosted the World Cup with a great show on "track 26", where France was exalted by winning today also among the men, after yesterday's double for the girls. Loan Bozzolo, in fact, gave himself the first hurray in the maximum circuit, beating the leader of the general classification, the German Martin Noerl, the Swiss Koblet and a veteran like the Spanish Eguibar in the very final. Tricked by Noerl himself in the semi-final, Omar Visintin had to settle for seventh place, while Sommariva and Godino had gone out in the quarter-finals, for the 13th final place, and Ferrari and Colturi, still earlier, out of the points. Race-2 of the women's sector saw Charlotte Bankes, the big favorite on the eve, take her first victory of the season: after the mockery of 24 hours earlier, the British star did not betray by dominating in front of the young Australian Josie Baff, more and more a reality, and to a very solid Chloe Trespeuch, on the third podium in as many races of this CdM and always at the top of the standings. It went less than on Friday for Caterina Carpano, in any case discrete ninth and out in the quarterfinals like Francesca Gallina and Raffaella Brutto (13th place). Nothing to do in the round of 16, however, for Sofia Belingheri.
