Snowboard World Cup: out of Fischnaller and Felicetti in the qualifications, the blue squadron still climbs on the podium thanks to the South Tyrolean. First victory of the young Russian, while Nadyrshina this time is beaten by a whisker by the Austrian Ulbing.

The night in Moscow speaks Russian, but there is still blue in the fifth stage of the World Cup.
After the victory of Aaron March in Bad Gastein, the second seasonal parallel slalom rewards Edwin Coratti, on the ninth podium in his career with the third place in the appointment of the capital where the party is (almost) all of the hosts. In fact, for the first time in the maximum circuit, 22-year-old Dmitriy Karlagachev wins, who in the final takes away the joy of the return to success (he would have been the second, at 36 years old and after more than 8 from the first and only one in the CdM) to the Slovenian Zan Kosir for only 7 cents.
In the small final, however, Coratti clearly got the better of the Austrian Payer (after losing the semifinal to Kosir), who in turn had eliminated March himself in the quarter-finals. Also in the quarterfinals Daniele Bagozza's path was interrupted, against the future winner, the qualifying phase was instead fatal (as well as many other big names, from the Austrians Karl and Prommegger to the Russians Loginov and Sluev themselves) to Roland Fischnaller and Mirko Felicetti, two of the expected protagonists of the Italian squadron led by Cesare Pisoni.
In the women's competition, everything seemed set for Sofia Nadyrshina's consecutive trio, but the phenomenal Russian class of 2003 was mocked in the final, for only 3 cents, by the Austrian Daniela Ulbing. In third place Ramona Hofmeister (ko in the semifinal with Nadyrshina), overcoming Patrizia Kummer in the small final: the Swiss had eliminated Nadya Ochner in the quarter-finals, splendid in the eighth with Selina Joerg before giving up just close to the entrance to the podium area.
The parallel snowboard World Cup remains in Russia: next weekend the Bannoye races, initially scheduled for December as the opening of the circuit.
