Michela, that cup still yours: "Emotion different from the others for the situation we are experiencing"

Michela Moioli and the three of a kind in the World Cup, at the end of a season dominated and at the same time particular: "The most beautiful moment in Cervinia, but now let's think about our Italy".

A perfect season, as a true champion of a discipline that has seen her graduate Olympic champion and conquer, in the span of four years, the beauty of three World Cups. Nobody like Michela Moioli in snowboardcross, at the end of a year that saw the Bergamo champion get three wins and three second places in just six races (and on this the FIS will have to reflect all right, if we think that among other things they were not canceled due to Coronavirus in the season finale). After the triumph of Veysonnaz, the blue described his emotions and retraced a magical year, with a sad ending for the situation linked to the whole of Italy, and for that of its territory in particular and of the family Michela, since his grandfather contracted Coronavirus in recent days. "I knew I had the cup in hand, but I wanted to end up growing and winning for all my people - he says in the post race - It was a tough and spectacular final, sorry many athletes were missing (but the strongest, exception made for our Raffaella Brutto, there were practically all of them), but I consider this World Cup as my third daughter. The whole team worked hard, I wanted to end up with a win to legitimize my superiority against rivals like Samkova, Brockhoff and Trespeuch; it is a triumph dedicated to Italy, a beautiful moment to give to my country that is experiencing many difficulties. Congratulations also to my teammates who played it until the end in the men's field (with Lorenzo Sommariva who lost the crystal ball in the big final). Season? The best moment was in Cervinia, when I won in front of my family, fans and friends. The most difficult days were those in which I was forced to stay away from my affections because of what is happening and when I risked not running in Sierra Nevada. I invite my compatriots to hold on, this time I am not moved because we are stronger. "
