Piancavallo is preparing to host the Snowboard World Cup

The countdown to the snowboard World Cup in Piancavallo has started.

On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January in Piancavallo the snowboard World Cup will be held, the most important event of the 2019/2020 winter season for Friuli Venezia Giulia. Over 200 people including authorities, athletes, technicians and trainers from 20 different countries - including Canada, Korea, China and Japan - who will arrive in Piancavallo for a weekend of sport and fun. Not only snowboarding, but also food and wine. The effort made in the last few weeks by the PromoTurismoFVG technicians and track operators who, led by the polo director Enzo Sima, have been able to move over 7 thousand cubic meters of snow from the other tracks to the race track and prepare for record time and with adverse weather conditions due to high temperatures, a route ready to host two World Cup races in which the Italian team will present itself as an authentic dominatrix with its dream team. On the slopes, the classic blue and red flags will turn pink in one of the two race courses, to pay homage to the stage of the Giro d'Italia which in the spring, May 24, will host Friuli Venezia Giulia and one of the most climbs exciting will be that of Piancavallo. Next to the competitions, there will be plenty of entertainment to animate the entire weekend of the plateau between driving lessons on ice and snow, the panoramic helicopter flight to admire the mountains and DJ sets from above, which will transform the slopes in real open-air discos, with most of the exhibitors who have joined the musical program to make the party atmosphere even more special. Not only snowboarding, but also food and wine. Saturday 25 January Villa Policreti of Aviano will host the PromoTurismoFvg Welcome dinner, a welcome banquet with a selection of traditional products that will accompany the dishes offered during dinner.
