& Egrave; Since 1991 the CERVIM organizes the 'International Mountain Wine Competition important to reward the wines produced in territories with difficult orographic conditions. The CERVIM & egrave; the Center for Research, Study, Safeguarding, Coordination and Valorisation for mountain viticulture; & Egrave; an international body created with the aim of safeguarding and promoting the heroic viticulture.

Each year the CERVIM organizes the competition dedicated exclusively to the wines coming from the mountain and inaccessible areas to enhance the quality & agrave; and to acquaint the general public aspects pi & ugrave; important mountain viticulture.
Quest''anno, the 23 & deg; edition of the competition, will be awarded 191 wines with 4 large medals' gold, 62 medals' gold, 125 medals' silver and 13 special prizes.
The awards ceremony will be held & agrave; Forte di Bard (Valle d''Aosta), & nbsp; Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 11 am; at the end of the awards ceremony will be & agrave; You can taste all the wines awarded.
The selection of wines & egrave participants; Strict: Allowed only wines with denomination of origin (for all countries of the European Union) and the wines with geographical indication produced from grapes of vineyards with the following characteristics:
- Altitude over 500 m above sea level, with the exception of viticultural systems in plateau;
-pendenze of the ground greater than 30%;
- Viticultural systems on terraces or terraces;
- Viticulture of small islands.
You were then defined seven categories: still white wines, still red wines, still rose wines, sparkling wines, sweet wines and fortified wines.
To choose the winners are tasting committees formed by technicians, experts, journalists specialized Italian and foreign. The committee meets every summer in Valle d''Aosta to define, following strict criteria defined dall''OIV (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin) which are the best wines of the mountain.
