After a disastrous start to the season, Tiril Eckhoff finds safety at the shooting range and wins in the first Pursuit of the season.

Hanna Oeberg concedes little in the first lap and on 5/5 keeps her in command of the race while Anais Chevalier pays a penalty lap, who finds herself dueling with Marta Roeiseland (5/5) in about thirty seconds. Alimbekava, Elvira Oeberg, Denise Herrmann constitute, around 50 seconds, the second group of pursuers, just behind Tiril Eckhoff who soon joins the company. Wierer, with a quick 5/5, is fourteenth at 1.37.6.
The Swede concedes something with an error at the second polygon but Anais Chevalier does not take advantage of it, who has to go through the penalty lap twice. Mars Roeiseland makes no mistake and finds himself 10 seconds behind Oeberg, not even Alimbekava and Eckhoff are wrong with thirty seconds. Wierer continues his comeback, twelfth at 1.13.4, without errors and ahead of Herrmann who pays two 0s.
In the third lap Roeiseland reaches the great protagonist of these first two stages and the two appear together at the first standing polygon. A mistake for both of them and he takes advantage of it to bring a precise Eckhoff back to them; behind the trio Alimbekava has a delay of 26.7, Tandrevold is fifth at 46.0 with Lunder, Skottheim and Preuss. Wierer's ascent continues and, despite an error, is tenth at 1.11.1.
It is Tiril Eckhoff, in his first good shooting performance of the season, who puts the victory in the game bag with a 20/20, while Oeberg and Roeiseland miss at 23 seconds, like Alimbekava at 51 seconds with Skottheim (20/20) while two mistakes penalize Wierer.
On the finish line Tiril Eckhoff precedes compatriot Marte Roeiseland by 21.5 and Hanna Oeberg by 35.4. Fourth place for the increasingly surprising Alimbekava at 55.0 ahead of Skottheim. Dorothea Wierer is twentieth at 2.15.3 with three errors.
