Sturla Holm Laegreid, Tarjei Boe, Johannes Boe and Vetle Christiansen win the team event by dispersion, raising the bar in view of the Beijing Olympics

It is the French Fabien Claude who dominates a more selective than usual launch stage; the French (0 + 1) passes the baton 8 seconds ahead of the Norwegian Laegreid (0 + 2), about twenty over the Swiss Stalder (0 + 1), the German Rees (0 + 1) and the Belarusian Labastau (0+ 3). The Russian Babikov (0 + 2) pays 28.5 seconds, Thomas Bormolini (0 + 4) gives the change in twelfth position at 48.3.
At the head of the race Tarjei Boe returns to Guigonnat during the first lap; the session on the ground favors Tarje Boe who has to use only one reload while Guigonnat with two errors finds himself with the German Horn and the Russian Serokhvostov. Dominik Windisch made no mistake and Italy found themselves 43 seconds from the top and thirty seconds from the podium after the first polygon of the second fraction.
The standing shooting range is not particularly selective with refills only for the Russian Serokhvostov and Dominik Windisch. At the mid-race change, Tarjei Boe (0 + 1) shows a 7.3 advantage over Guigonnat (0 + 2) and 13 seconds over Serokhvostov (0 + 1) and Horn (0 + 0); Windisch (0 + 1) is seventh at 46 seconds; in the middle Ukraine (0 + 4) and Canada (0 + 4) while the Belarusian Lazouski (0 + 2) falls and finds himself a minute and a half away.
Johannes Boe (0 + 0) makes a void in the third fraction; the closest to the change is Desthieux (0 + 2) who pays 1.02.0; the German Zobel (0 + 2) spends twenty seconds later dueling with Loginov (0 + 5). At 1.38.1 the surprising Canada with Burnotte (0 + 1) while Tommaso Giacomel (1 + 6) has a bad day shooting and turns in tenth position at 2.47.5.
Christiansen (0 + 1) finalizes the banquet prepared by the Boe brothers while the French Perrot (0 + 2) is played with the German Fratzscher (0 + 1) and with the Russian Latypov (1 + 4) the other steps of the podium.
At the finish line, after Christiansen's walk of honor in the last lap, Norway (0 + 4) wins the victory with 1.57.2 over Russia (1 + 12) which overtakes Germany (0 + 4), third to 2.04.4; fourth France (0 + 7) at 2.20.5, fifth Canada (1 + 8) at 2.31.5 and sixth Ukraine 0 + 11) at 2.38.7. Lukas Hofer (0 + 2) leads Italy (1 + 13) to eighth place at 3.03.6.
