Former biathlete Simon Hallenbarter dies suicide: for him also three Olympic participations

The 43 year old Swiss, grandson of "Koni" Hallenbarter (winner of the Vasaloppet in 1983), had been a good protagonist with nine top ten in CdM races.

Mourning in the world of biathlon. As reported by the NZZ portal, Simon Hallenbarter took his own life during the vacation he was spending in Austria with his girlfriend. The Valais, grandson of “Koni” Hallenbarter, winner of the Vasaloppet in 1983, after having also started cross-country skiing, participated in three editions of the Games, from 2006 to 2014, between narrow skis and polygon. In his career he had also collected 9 places in the Top 10 of World Cup tests.
