The second consecutive stage in Nove Mesto definitely smiled at the Italy of biathlon, capable of collecting three podiums with the two third places of Hofer and Wierer in the Sprint (and two high-level pursuits, both finished in 5th place) and the splendid place of honor today in the mixed relay. A result that, considering the quality of the participants on the field and the Olympic format, is decidedly important already thinking about the Beijing 2022 Games, when Vittozzi, Wierer, Windisch and Hofer will still be the absolute references of this national team. "I am very happy, it has not been an easy season and even in the last relay races I had had some difficulties - explained Dominik Windisch in the post race through the FISI press office - In this kind of format the responsibility is always high, I have remained calm with these wind conditions which were difficult, so I'm very satisfied with myself and with the team result ”. And now the World Cup is heading towards the grand finale, with a new appointment in Oestersund (replacing Oslo-Holmenkollen) starting on Friday with the Sprint, for three days of individual competitions that will have to assign, in particular, the ball on a male level with the all-Norwegian fight between Johannes Thingnes Boe and Sturla Holm Laegreid.
