The sappadina finds an excellent performance on skis and gets a stellar second place behind the Swedish Oberg and looks confident at the mass start to round off a great start to the season

Lisa Vittozzi was the protagonist of an excellent performance in the pursuit at le Grand Bornand which earned her the second place behind an infallible Oberg and the same position in the general classification by undermining a Herrmmann in great difficulty on skis for material problems.
The blue therefore expressed herself to the FISI microphones with a smile even though she made "two" mistakes too many: "Unfortunately the second polygon cost me the victory, those two mistakes didn't fit, but I tried to hold on, thinking that then there were the standing polygons in the third and fourth series, to reach the podium which represented the goal of the eve. My form on skis is very good and allowed me to stay in front. Now I find myself in second place in the standings and represents an important moment for how much work is behind it and for the beatings I've taken." - A real sigh of relief and satisfaction to see Vittozzi again, whom we all knew in the past and who is now the top athlete of the national team in a four-year Olympic period in which sappadina will be the driving force, Wierer permitting.
Now it's time for the last effort before the Christmas break with a Mass Start scheduled for tomorrow at 2.15pm: "Going back to the previous level is a great satisfaction, I hope we continue well to fight for first place as long as possible. Sunday we close the French trip with a mass start, I'll try to stay on top again, we need to be concentrated, because it's always important to stay ahead and score points, then we'll add up at the end". Dorothea Wierer will be with her and together they will try to bring at home another excellent result in Italy, also considering the questionable problems of the snowpack on a certain type of material.
Finally, in the men's field there will be Tommaso Giacomel who has a good chance of getting a good result given his current excellent condition. In this specific case, the appointment with the men is tomorrow at 12.10 for the mass start.
