LIVE from Hochfilzen for the men's Sprint: Johannes Boe goes hunting for the 50th victory and plays strategy

At 2:20 pm the start of the third men's Sprint of the 2020/21 World Cup. It promises to be an endless race without a moment's respite. All the top nations have made different tactical choices. First group and low bibs for Hofer and Windisch.

The two Azzurri will both start in the first group, with bibs 2 and 8. Windisch, after a convincing test in the relay, will try to put a few more kilometers into the engine to climb with strokes. Lukas Hofer instead sees the top 10 within reach and with a good day shooting the result could be even more important. In total there will be five blues at the start, the same as seen in Kontiolahti. Together with the two captains will in fact take to the track: Didier Bionaz, Thomas Bormolini and Patrick Braunhofer. Here the complete Start list! Here the IBU Live timing! Said of the blues, all the big names divided into the various starting groups. In particular, the leading Norwegians have opted for the last group and will start with very high numbers. Johannes Boe is on the hunt for his 50th career victory in top-level individual events, but not only. The Norwegian must in fact re-establish the hierarchies. Despite wearing the yellow bib, in the second weekend of Kontiolahti he showed some (small) weaknesses and was beaten first by his brother Tarjei in the Sprint and then by Samuelsson in the Pursuit. The Sprint, his favorite format, and the significant milestone of 50 victories could be the right opportunity to put the record straight.
