At 2:20 pm Italian time, the 2020/21 Women's World Cup will start with the Kontiolahti Individual. The blues start as protagonists, with Wierer ready to reconfirm and Vittozzi looking for redemption. But the opponents are many and fierce. Will Dorothea be able to bring the third consecutive crystal ball to Italy?

With the thrilling finale of last season still in our eyes, with a happy ending for Dorothea Wierer and the Italian national team, we are preparing to experience a World Cup to be discovered. It will be difficult for the blue to reconfirm himself in what will be the "seven sisters cup".
Seven points that gave Doro the second crystal ball last year, seven (plus one) the candidates for the role of new queen of biathlon: Wierer and Vittozzi for Italy; Roeiseland and Eckhoff for Norway; Hanna Oeberg for Sweden; Denise Herrmann for Germany and Julia Simon for France. Without forgetting Stina Nilsson, champion of cross-country skiing and now biathlete, who will hardly be able to win immediately (she will not take part in the two stages of Kontiolahti) but will certainly make us have fun.
Here is the complete Start List!
Here the IBU Live Timing!
As for the men's sector, the women's 15 km is difficult to read. Many athletes show up without races in the engine and such a demanding debut test could require a pledge in the Sprint on Sunday and in the races scheduled for next week. All the big names have decided to start from the first group. For Italy together with Wierer and Vittozzi we will see Nicole Gontier, Federica Sanfilippo and Irene Lardschneider in the race.
Let the show begin.
