'' A few days from start of the European Championships in figure skating, is shaping the field of participants. So far, there have been notable defections, but the hope is that you add no other package'' s last minute.

The continental event will be hosted by "Dom Sportova" of Zagreb in Croatia, usual home of the prestigious "Golden Spin" and already the scene of the event in 2008. The Croatian capital has been the scene of the continental event in 1974 and also in 1979.
The competitions will open Wednesday, Jan. 23 with the short-dance and will conclude on Saturday 26 with free map female. The final gala will be held, instead, Sunday 27.
