Alessandrini / Vaturi and Head / Csolley ready to compete in Europe in Budapest

After talking with Francesca Rio and Roberta Rodeghiero, we collected the impressions of the dancers Lorenza Alessandrini / Simone Vaturi and Federica Testa / Lukas Csolley. Both couples will participate in the European Championships in Budapest which will start tomorrow with the women's short program and schedule of dance on ice.

Lorenza Alessandrini / Simone Vaturi have gained qualification in third place available for the Europeans, finishing third in the rankings behind Italian Cappellini / Lanotte and teammates Guignard / Fabbri. The results of the first part of this season have been ups and downs: "In the first national race we skated well enough, as well as in Riga, while in the second national competition we have not expressed to the best of our potential. '' All Ice Challenge in Graz we ran a good Short Dance, but received a low score especially from the technical point of view, while we're pretty happy with how we skated there in the free dance. The following were the Universiade competition: we made a mistake in the short program, it is true, but we still received Components much lower than usual, and to be honest we did not expect. We usually have about 27 or 28 points, while Trent we have received 23. We found the same thing in the free: we usually have about 42 points in Components,'' while in that time we have received 38. The levels were good, but in this competition only athletes who have skated in the second group received 38 points, apart from us. We are committed and continue to work. Probably by our hand, we must learn to manage an entire season, given that in the last two years we have had injuries that have prevented us to train and compete throughout the'' arc of a season. Perhaps we need to understand our own pace, when to be in shape, how to manage a lot of close races. In fact, when asked how they prepared the'' summer training, athletes'' s Agora replied: "I would say that the fundamental difference compared to past seasons is that .. we skated! (Laughs). Maybe we focused a bit more on lifting''. Anyway, we finally managed to train as they should, without injury. We were Igor (Shpilband) in Novi for about a month, in August. It was a great experience, even if we think to really learn something from a good coach, a month is not enough. We have also trained in Germany, in Berlin, for two weeks. On the track there were only two of us, Tanja and Stefano: We had all the hours of ice available we wanted, and it was really nice to skate there. " Students Barbara Fusar Poli train'' s Agora for the past one year, the club that hosts them since their departure from the Detroit Skating Club of Pasquale Camerlengo and Anjelika Krylova: "In America, it was very expensive to train. The federation has supported us a lot from this point of view, but given that most of the races (Senior B) are in Europe, in every competition we should go back and forth and pay for tickets for us and our coaches - the Fed pays coaches, but not the expenses for travel. Eventually we found to have made more than 20 flights, and it was really too expensive for us. Moreover, given the time difference between the U.S. and Europe, we should have at least two races one after the other all'' to avoid having to return to the U.S. and start a little later for a'' other race. It would have been really difficult for us. In addition, the Detroit Skating Club was becoming far too busy to be able to train well. All'' beginning it was not so. When we went there before the World Cup (in Nice in 2012), it was not so crowded. Maybe because it was the end of the season, maybe because we need to train more than the others because we had just arrived, we skated alone or with a few tracks and we were most followed athletes. With the passage of time, despite being the better team, we were also in an ice skating NHL (closer to the slopes than 30mx60m) by training at the same time with 7-8 pairs. We therefore thought that in Italy a'' good coach, who works close to us, our families, it was Barbara Fusar Poli. And indeed it is a very good coach''. We are fine with her, she is full of energy and always gives 100% for us, every day. '' Even the environment in which we train is very good, we had to work very well now all'' Agora. Well anyway it's not that we usually create problems on the track ... or we begin to argue with people ... (laughs) ... we are very sociable and good mood! Even the Slovak dancers Federica Testa / Lukas Csolley participate in the European Championships in Budapest, although in their case there was no need to qualify at the national level being their only couple dancing in their country. Three weeks ago they won the National Championships Four: "The championships are always a bell'' event. This season has been even more important for us because you are bound to Bratislava, so being the hosts had some responsibility. We are glad we made two good programs and have won with a good margin over the other couples. In particular, the Short Dance was one of the best run in the season! " '' The acquisition of Slovak nationality by Federica Testa has allowed the couple to participate in the World University Games in December. "We've had two good performances, although we were sad to have a fall in the Short Dance because we skated clean. Unfortunately, we found that, because of a quirk in the regulations, a transition that we perform in the scheme is considered a fall. Obviously we will modify the transition in the coming races. We had a fourth is in this race than in those made earlier this season ... it seems that we subscribed to fourth places! Anyway, for us, Bratislava was the best race, even though we had a better score at the Universiade. From the emotional point of view, the'' Ondrej Nepela was the best race for us. Unfortunately, we got a fourth place in Bratislava which is in Riga in Trento ... Our first race of the season was the Nebelhorn Trophy, and of course, remains the'' bad taste in my mouth regarding the failure to qualify for the Olympics. Unfortunately these things happen, there'm really sorry but I personally have nothing to complain about. When you know you have done everything, you have no regrets. Nevertheless, our plans regarding future seasons remain the same. After the Nebelhorn we focused on improving the technical scores since at that time'' had taken many levels 2. We worked hard for two months and we are pleased that our efforts in the following races have been rewarded with good scores technicians. While not going to the Olympics, we are very happy with the work we have done in preparation for this season and we are beginning to reap the fruits of our labor. It's nice to see that the hard work you do in training is rewarded. Day by day we go forward and we are very happy with our work. We have so much to thank Robert, Paola, and Mirko for athletic training. Beyond the Olympics, there are many important competitions: UEFA, World Cup, Grand Prix ... As for the upcoming European Championships in Budapest, we will prepare for this important event by training with even greater commitment and enthusiasm. We do not like to make predictions, we say that our goal is to skate better off trying to have fun and involve those who look at us. " The dancers are Slovaks'' s interpretation of their strength: "What we like to do is to always put a story in each program. L'' Last year we succeeded in the Free Dance but not so much in the Short Dance. Whereas quest'' year we held really to tell a story that is in the Short Dance in the Free Dance. In fact, the courts have also enjoyed the scheme, where we interpret the musical Chicago. Is that Lukas had the'' idea of the puppet is manipulated by Federica. At the end we were able to represent it very well: it is not a typical program about music in Chicago, but something different, special. Regarding the free instead we chose to interpret the Addams family. Federica was not very convinced'' at the beginning, since it is a music that have already skated in many, but then Lukas has managed to convince her. We have created the choreography with Paola Mezzadri and Corrado Giordani, trying to put as much as possible of our'' s internal choreography and construction program. We have tried to make the program engaging and even a little comical'', as the Addams are bleak but they also laugh. "
