Immediately after the end of the women's race we collected live impressions of the three girls at the top of the standings after the short program: Ashley Wagner, Anna Pogorilaya and Adelina Sotnikova.

Wagner: Today I skated very well, and I'm glad I've improved on the level of the tops. Overall, I am satisfied with what I did, I ran all the elements. I feel I have started my climb to the'' high.
Pogorilaya: I am very happy with the first part of the program where I performed the combination triple / triple and flying spin. I am convinced that those who will come on top of the Olympic podium will be a skater with excellent skills, both technical and artistic, so I do not care.
Pogorilaya: With regard to the errors, I did not feel any tension in your legs. I had no problems with the combination. I think the trend is correct because the skating should always evolve and not to stagnate on the same level, in fact we hope to start all to land triple axels like Mao Asada.
Sotnikova: I have not looked at the other girls in the race but I think everyone is jumping very well and that skating is really growing.

Wagner: I think we should find something you really like, and everything comes naturally.
