Carolina Kostner: "I still feel pain in the back, but I try not to think about it"

Ended the race of the women's short program at the European Championships in Budapest, girls who are temporarily on the podium have issued statements to the press that we present here.

Adelina, what are your impressions after this performance? Adelina Sotnikova: I have not skated a perfect short, there were minor inaccuracies, but overall I'm satisfied. '' I think the axel was a little uncertain'' and I know I have lost a top speed. Now I need to concentrate on the free program. '' I've really done with the short time I have to repeat myself over and free. My strongest competitors are Julia Lipnitskaia and Carolina Kostner, they are skating in the first place. Julia, comments like your race today? Julia Lipnitskaia: I could do better the flip, was low, but other than that they are very satisfied with the program. With regard to the second position, is not a problem after the short, especially because all the girls to the command have scores very close. Julia, these are your top European leagues. Your impressions? Julia Lipnitskaia: We're already in the second half of the season and I feel a certain weariness, so there is no energy to waste on jitters. Carolina, seemed very inspired during the short program, what can you tell us about that? Carolina Kostner: I did not expect to find myself changing the short, but it happened. I liked the previous program, but when the question was raised, I thought it would be a good opportunity to pull out'' a'' other new choreography. Who knows how many other choreography, I can still create. Carolina, you had to skip the national injury. Of what it was exactly and how are you now? Carolina Kostner: I had a back pain and suffered from migraines regularly. I still suffer, but I try not to think about it, positive rest and drinking plenty of water. We add also the statements post-race Valentina Marchei, ranked sixth and Italian national champion. Valentina Marchei: I feel that I push further on this occasion, I tried the combination of two triple jumps, it is a new thing and I'm glad I succeeded. Was not considered as a combination clean but there'' s done and overall I am satisfied. I love this program and I love to hear the audience in silence while runner, I know that it is not because they do not understand, in fact, live it with me. I'll be back in Budapest after 10 years from the European Championships in 2004, is just crazy, and yet I do not feel old. '' I have great memories of that occasion. I remember having participated in that event as reigning Italian champion Evgeni Plushenko and in person was in the elevator with me and recognized me. I was so excited I could not speak!
