World Junior Championships - Sofia 2014
After the short dance of the Junior World Championships, being held at the Winter Sports Hall in Sofia, Bulgaria, the U.S. couple Kaitlin Hawayek / Jean-Luc Baker leads the competition in front of the Russian Anna Yanovskaya / Sergey Mozgov and fellow Lorraine McNamara / Quinn Carpenter and brothers Parsons who complete U.S. dominance in the specialty, the result of'' great tradition that has been developing in recent years by virtue of the extraordinary results of Meryl Davis and Charlie White, real hangers throughout the American movement. Thanks to a good level of technical performance, definitely the best in the competition, the pair Kaitlin Hawayek / Jean-Luc Baker leads with 66.73 points, a new personal record improved by more than 4 points, the result of the best technical score of the day (36.86) is obtained thanks reached level 4 in each of the five proposed elements of the second and score on the components, defending better than the Russian pair composed by Anna Yanovskaya / Sergey Mozgov, most reliable on the eve compared to the American squadron. The duo from Moscow, coached by Svetlana Alexeeva and Elena Kustarova scored 63.80 points, in line with the results of the season, and will be able to go hunting'' s gold in the free dance where, on paper, have a small margin than the current leaders. It has failed to qualify for the free dance competition in the Italian couple made up of Sara and Jonah Ghislandi Ortenzi, only twenty-sixth of twenty-eight pairs at the start. The duo Lombard coached by Brunhilde Bianchi and Valter Rizzo has not improved the staff, closing with just 33.50 points, far from the threshold qualification.
