Third forfeit the season for the transalpine Brian Joubert, who after retiring (not without controversy), the first stage of the Grand Prix Skate America, will not participate in either the second stage assigned to him in the land of Russia.

At the beginning of the season Brian had not participated in the traditional Master of France, national race that always opens the season, and then, for reasons not fully understood, had been withdrawn from his own federation from the first stage of the Grand Prix. Now comes the confirmation of the'' absence from the Cup of Russia, justified by generic "health reasons." However, there appear to be no obstacles to the participation of Joubert at the national championships and then the European Championships in Budapest, a key step in the journey towards Sochi . It should be noted that the withdrawal of Joubert from the Russian stage is added to the withdrawal of the highly anticipated'' Evgeni Plushenko, who has recently given up his participation.
