A little more than two weeks before the opening ceremony, it is appropriate to take stock of the artistic couple who will take part in the Olympic Games.

The policy promoted by suitably'''' International Skating Union in the last decade has led to the emergence of numerous pairs formed by athletes of different nationalities. However, if on the one hand for ISU Championships and races level B there are no particular problems with the passport of the skaters (except that one or both of the athletes have not competed for another country in the previous twelve months), from ' 'else to get the'' Olympic eligibility is required to be in possession of the nationality of the country that you want to represent.
Basically, there are four requirements to be met:
A) Having completed 15 years of age by June 31, 2013 (rule also applies to senior ISU Championships) B) Be in possession of the nationality of the country to which you gareggerà C) have not taken part in international competitions recognized by ISU'' a country other than in the thirty-month period preceding the short-Olympic program, except derogaD) Having reached during the current season or the previous technical limitations established by'' ISU. In the case of the pairs of Art, it is 20 points for the short program and 36 for the free program.
This paves the regulations, it is appropriate to illustrate the current situation country by country trying also to indicate what most athletes are suspected of taking part in the XXII edition of the Olympic Games.
There will be twenty pairs of art that will be able to participate in the race. To assign the first sixteen places available, account was taken of the rankings in the last World Championships, while the four remaining seats were allocated by reference to the Nebelhorn Trophy in Oberstdorf, final round of Olympic qualifying.
