During the tests organized in Sochi by the Russian Federation last weekend, & egrave; jumped all''occhio the 'absence of Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, which, however, spent a few hours, were selected to take part in the Rostelecom Cup.

Interviewed about dall''addetta printing of the Russian Federation, Katsalapov outlined in detail the situation: "Obviously, we planned our participation in the test skates, but at the end of August, during a training session, I felt a strong pain in the leg. At first, I thought it was the after-effects of an old injury. I perci & ograve, underwent an MRI that, in fact, highlighted the recovery from the previous problem, but also the presence of a stress fracture in ankle area, because of the pain experienced in training. The US doctors I have therefore recommended not to train for at least two weeks. Upon arrival in Moscow, I have submitted the reports to the medical staff of the Russian Federation, who advised me six weeks of rest. In the light of the situation in the coming days & want ograve; at a time of Monaco of Bavaria to have an opinion on most & ugrave; and to understand what treatment will & agrave; necessary to overcome the problem quickly. "
When you commit to the stop of a month and a half, Sinitsina / Katsalapov would almost certainly be forced to give up at Skate America, the opening stage of the Grand Prix scheduled between 23 and 25 October. However, the fact that the Russian Federation has selected the couple to take part in the Rostelecom Cup in late November, suggests that the situation can be resolved in quick times.
