The news of the new association has created astonishment among insiders as the thirty year old British Gaman, who had previously skated alongside Rebecca Collett for very short periods of Bridget Namiotka and Vanessa James, had been working for several years as a coach.
Yankowskas, however, was looking for a partner since last spring after stopping the'' unproductive partnership with Joshua Reagan. He previously skated for a couple of months with Matthew Guarise.
Accounts in hand,'' the last game played by twenty-three U.S. dates back to 2011 when paired with John Coughlin won the sixth place in the World Championships in Moscow. However, after the excellent results obtained in the'' World Championships, preceded by victory in the National leagues, John Coughlin decided to break off the ice with Yankowskas preferring the'' current partner Caydee Denney.
At the moment, we do not know who will be coached by the new couple Gaman / Yankowskas, but the choice to compete for Great Britain could open interesting perspectives.
In fact, by virtue of the tenth-place finish by Kemp / King in the continental event in Zagreb, Britain will deploy two pairs in the European Championships in Budapest.
The participation in the'' Ice Challenge in Graz, or other competizone second level, it becomes so crucial to obtain the minimum technical score of eligibility.
