Semyel Bissig, born on 19 January 1998 in Wolfenschiessen, is a versatile Swiss alpine skier who competes in giant slalom, super-G, slalom and alpine combined. At junior level he won multiple medals at the Junior World Championships, confirming himself as one of the most promising talents of his generation. On the World Cup and Europa Cup circuits he has scored several point-scoring results, showing a modern and attacking style. Bissig is regarded as a joker in the Swiss team, thanks to his ability to adapt to different disciplines and snow conditions.
