Biography: Chiara Costazza, born on May 6, 1984 in Cavalese, was one of Italy’s best slalom racers in the 2000s. She claimed a prestigious World Cup victory in the Lienz slalom in 2007 and achieved many top-ten results. Costazza competed in several World Championships and Olympic Games, leading the Italian women’s technical team for many years. Her skiing was elegant, quick in transitions and technically refined. After retiring she stayed in the sport as a coach and mentor for younger athletes. (aggiornamento: 18 November 2025)
