Biography: Daniela Merighetti, born on July 5, 1981 in Brescia, was one of Italy’s top downhill specialists in the 2000s. Focused on speed disciplines, she claimed one World Cup victory and several podiums, with her most famous win in the Cortina d’Ampezzo downhill in 2012. She competed in three Winter Olympic Games, representing Italy with consistency and determination. Merighetti was known for her aggressive style, courage and ability to shine on the toughest courses.
