The World Cup rankings after the first of the two giants in Courchevel: the two blue first and second in the specialty rankings and in the WCSL, but it is still the Slovak who commands the general with 5 podiums in as many races.

The giant speaks blue, there are few doubts about it after the double in Soelden and the second consecutive victory obtained by Marta Bassino today in Courchevel, while Federica Brignone finished fifth recovering after a difficult first heat.
The Cuneo and the Aosta Valley lead the specialty rankings, with Marta at the top of the Discipline World Cup with 75 points of margin on her teammate (and 80 on Vlhova), while in the WCSL who establishes the starting order, Fede still retains 4 points of advantage, for what counts as the margin on the octave is now decidedly large. Starting lists that will change for the giant on Sunday, the second on the Stade Emile-Allais, as Sara Hector has jumped into the world top 7 (and in fact tomorrow will start with number 5), excluding a Wendy Holdener who instead made the shrimp losing three positions.
Sofia Goggia also lost the second sub-group, but Meta Hrovat's renunciation of the next race meant that the Bergamo rider returned, even if from a Semmering perspective it will be good to get a weighty result in the second giant of Courchevel.
The general classification of CdM is obviously commanded by a Petra Vlhova who today took the fifth podium in as many races and, we repeat, must be considered the natural favorite to the absolute crystal ball. But the first rivals seem to be the "usual" two blue ones, considering that Mikaela Shiffrin has already returned to good levels in the giant, but she is still losing points and will not have the speed races on her side at least for a few more weeks ...
