European Cup: Fermbaeck burns Slokar in Vaujany, great 5th place for Viviani and the other Italians grow

The first of the two French slaloms sees the Swede resist the Slovenian for 3 cents, on the first podium. For the Genoese top career at these levels, important comebacks for Midali, Haller, Unterholzner and Saracco.

The women's European Cup has restarted from Vaujany, after the two super-gs of Zinal, with the third and fourth slalom of the continental season that do not see the big blue as protagonists, or Della Mea (winner in the opening in Valle Aurina), Rossetti and Peterlini, busy preparing for the World Cup race in Flachau. The young blue players called by Damiano Scolari, however, made an excellent figure in the first of the two events in France (an encore on Sunday, starting at 9.30); Serena Viviani was the best, with a 5th place which means career top at these levels for the Genoese, who even before making her debut in CdM in Levi, had said she was aiming to constantly enter the top ten of the continental circuit. Today she succeeded, even if the gap from the first two of the classification is really high: already fifth in the middle of the race with a second and a half to recover in the lead, Viviani finished 3 "27 from Elsa Fermbaeck, the Swede who today has conquered the first success of his career in the European Cup, burning the very promising Slovenian Andreja Slokar (already in the CdM in Semmering) for only 3 cents, who was not enough to recover 22 cents in the decisive heat. Camille Rast still climbs on the podium, third at 1 "86, with the other Slovenian Neja Dvornik fourth at 2" 73 and in front of the first blue. There are four other points in the points, all able to recover positions in the second heat: Roberta Midali from 15th to 11th final, Celina Haller (born in 2000 who had already done very well in the first seasonal FIS) from 26th to 14th place, Petra Unterholzner from 29th to 18th and Carlotta Saracco 26th, after starting for 36th in the 2nd heat.
