The Ticinese won both super-gs played a year ago and will be one of the many absentees of luxury, together with Goggia, Shiffrin, Vlhova, Gisin, Mowinckel, Ledecka, Robinson, Worley and even Ramona Siebenhofer, who decided after the bad descent to project yourself towards the five-circle objective. A special attention to Raedler and Scheyer, but also to Marta Bassino (n ° 13) who decided to be there to compete for the first podium of the season in super-g, only to think about the Olympics in a few hours. Of course, the giant is close to the Games (February 7) and the choice may seem risky, but the Cuneo-based player really has many chances to do well on such a technical track.
It will be a decidedly open race and even Huetter (14) and Flury (15), both on the podium today, can repeat themselves on certain levels. More difficult for Weidle and Gagnon, as well as for a Francesca Marsaglia (18) far from the best condition. And after the French Miradoli and Gauthier to close the group of twenty, we will have to remain glued to the TV following the technical break, because Elisabeth Reisinger with the number 21 can really do very well ...
The last three blue at the gate will be Karoline Pichler (25), Roberta Melesi (28) and Nadia Delago (35): an excellent opportunity to seize the best result of the season in super-g, also considering the absences.
