This time there is also a bit of red and white, as Federica Brignone rejoices for the nineteenth time in her career (the seventh in super-g) and does it ex aequo with the Austrian Cornelia Huetter, fabulous after the return on yesterday's downhill podium, to do even better and win for the third time in the World Cup (over 4 years since the last time downhill in Lake Louise), becoming a real loose cannon also in an Olympic key, with today's challenge on “Kandahar 1” which represented the last confrontation before the Games. For Brignone it is a significant success because, in addition to representing the trio in this vintage in the specialty that is now his, it means increasingly red bib, 3rd place in the general classification at 254 points from Mikaela Shiffrin (surpassing Goggia by 3 points , clearly absent today like Gut-Behrami, Gisin, Mowinckel and the first two of the general, precisely Shiffrin and Vlhova) and super-g cup already guaranteed to Italy. Yes, because Curtoni and Goggia remain behind Fede in the standings, but the fourth athlete (Tamara Tippler) finishes over 200 points behind, when there are only two races left on the calendar.
