The fight for the crystal ball will go from fighting in practically every race, from slalom to downhill: "The idea is to try to excel, without necessarily participating so much to start in every race - explains Brignone - We then consider that in slalom I will start again with the n ° 31, but I will be there in Levi and from there we will understand what level I could have in this discipline, which however I took care of relatively in the summer, where we mainly thought about speed.
I did a couple of days in Val Senales and we will prepare the two slaloms in Finland in the best possible way: I like to be competitive and above all a complete skier, but the evolution of the season, even if the calendar helps me compared to last year , it will also depend on the state of form in each single period ".
The next appointment, however, is the one with the parallel of Lech / Zuers on November 13th: “Even with the new formula of the double heat up to the final, I always see it as a sort of games without borders. It's fun, but anything can happen and in any case it must be done 100%, giving important points. I can also say, however, that if this is the future of skiing, in spite of the classic specialties, I say no ... ”.
The 30-year-old from La Salle did not like the cancellation of the combined from the "new" post-Covid World Cup calendar at all: "I understand that you may like it or not as a discipline, but I think it shows the completeness of the skier because it is very difficult to be competitive. from the descent to the slalom on the same day. I consider it an unfair decision, but it had been talked about for years and I think this was the right excuse to proceed, without considering among other things that the best ten women on the circuit basically do all the races, so the division by specialty does not exist. ".
Federica also spoke of the dream of winning downhill for the first time ("it would be nice for my career, which I hope is still long"), as well as the possibility of becoming the blue with the most appearances in the World Cup (" I feel the same emotion of the past and I love racing, so ... "), but also of his tranquility in terms of anti Covid regulations. “In Soelden it was very strange, but it can't be like that at every appointment with the total closure of an entire territory. However, I think it is difficult to have contacts in our environment, even for training each team has its own schedules, I see few risks.
