In Switzerland the first two super-gs of the continental circuit with 14 Italians called (at work over the weekend in Pila). From the Valtellina to Giulia Albano herself, there is a lot of curiosity for a delayed start to the season. And Valentina Cillara Rossi seeks redemption.

The women's European Cup suffered from a tormented start to the season, between postponements and cancellations, so much so that we find ourselves in January with only five technical races disputed (3 giants and 2 slalom).
Jet women have yet to make their debut and will finally do so on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 January on the snows of Zinal, which have already hosted a triptych of men's competitions and will therefore host the two super-gs canceled last 8-9 December in Sankt Moritz.
The convocations of the Italian home are official, with 14 athletes who will finish their preparation on Saturday and Sunday in Pila, led by the manager in charge Damiano Scolari, as well as by Giuseppe Butelli, Daniel Dorigo, Guglielmo Favre and Davide Mondin.
There are important expectations regarding Giulia Albano, fresh from a great season and not far from conquering a permanent position with the 7th place in the 2019/2020 specialty ranking, but also from Monica Zanoner, world champion in descent at the World Championships jr di Narvik, with the expected redemption of Valentina Cillara Rossi, struggling in the first giants of the World Cup, and the return to the European Cup of Federica Sosio, 13 months after the attempt made at Kvitfjell in December 2019, when it was still too soon after the '' Garmisch's injury and a new intervention was necessary, to then start on the right foot in the first FIS this season.
There will also be Karoline Pichler, with points in the first continental giants and with a great desire to go back to super-g, but also Sara Allemand, Jole Galli, Elena Dolmen, Sofia Pizzato, Teresa Runggaldier, Elisa Schranzhofer, Heloise Edifizi, Elisa Negri and Nicole Nogler Kostner.
