Two gold medals at the Cortina World Championships, first with the surprise of the parallel (ex aequo with Marta Bassino) and then with the confirmation of "her" slalom, she who in CdM had shown that she was now ready to beat them all. Katharina Liensberger was the real revelation of the season, because she not only experienced an incredible world week, but she went very strong from Levi to Lenzerheide. And the curious fact, despite 8 podiums in 9 races between the narrow poles, is that until a week after the conclusion of the cup, the phenomenal 23-year-old from Vorarlberg had not yet won in the maximum circuit. Between Are and Lenzerheide, the domination in the last two slalom which also earned her the specialty crystal ball, was simply impressive and can only crown her as the new queen of slalom. Also for Mikaela Shiffrin and Petra Vlhova, in the next season there will be this talent that has been waiting for 3 years now, but which after overcoming various obstacles has now really exploded. “A wonderful dream has come true.
