In addition to Nadia Delago and Federica Sosio, Marta Bassino, Federica Brignone, Elena Curtoni, Nicol Delago, Nadia Fanchini, Anna Hofer and Francesca Marsaglia completed the nine-seat quota available to Italy in both specialties. Nadia Delago was born on 12 November 1997. She is Nicol's younger sister of almost two years and on 19 December she won two European Cup descents in a day in Zauchensee. On the track dedicated to the most representative character of the Austrian town of Tyrol, Karl Schranz, the 21 year old from Gardena will make her debut in the Circus Rosa.
Federica instead, 24 year old from Bormio, makes his debut season in the World Cup thanks to good results obtained in the continental circuit, including a seventh place in the super-G in Zauchensee last December 20. Meanwhile, the organizers have been forced to cancel the first time trial scheduled for the day after tomorrow, Thursday, because of a lot of snow fall on the track, in fact need overtime to clean up.
