Work on the snow of the French women's team has already begun as regards some specialists in the technical disciplines.
On May 29th, the glacier in Les Deux Alpes opened its doors for the summer season and, on the same day on Saturday, Doriane Escané and the returning Clara Direz were already on the track. In particular, the gigantist born in '95 needed to taste the snow again, considering that Clara lost the entire season last season due to the pulmonary embolism that hit her in September 2020.
The captain Tessa Worley, on the other hand, will take to the track in Les Deux Alpes only at the end of June, preceded by a week by the sprinters of the transalpine team.
The same bi world champion participated, together with Direz, Escané and Frasse Sombet, in the first physical preparation meeting last week: appointment in Correncon en Vercors. The curiosity concerns, among the various disciplines practiced, from climbing to MTB, also the commitment of Worley and companions with the rifle on their shoulders and the advice of a certain Martin Fourcade, who followed the biathlon training of his compatriots. .
