Bad luck, in the form of injuries, however, stopped her many, too many times and today Luana Fluetsch announced her retirement from the world of competitive skiing, at only 26 years old. The last two were very hard for the young woman from the Canton of Graubünden, who had broken her right knee crusader again in November 2019, in training in Nakiska, before returning immediately to the World Cup last season in the fast races of Val d ' 'Isère, but still injured the same joint a few weeks later, in the second super-g of the European Cup in Zinal.
Five overall stops in her career, which did not prevent her from taking two third places (between downhill and super-g) in the European Cup and eight tokens in the CdM, with a 30th place, downhill in Crans-Montana in 2019, which single point result. “My body and my psyche have resisted several times, now it took some time to admit the situation and above all accept it”, declared Luana via the Swiss-Ski website, about her retirement.
Now he will focus on his studies in psychology, opening a new phase in his life.
