Last week, before returning to the States, Mikaela trained in Soelden but only on the free field; now the goal is Levi, to return to the CdM almost ten months after the last race (won) in Bansko, with the two slaloms in Lapland on 21-22 November which represent the ideal appointment to dive back into the competition, jumping at this point instead of the parallel of Lech-Zuers of 13 November. “Obviously it was a disappointment to lose Soelden due to this injury - said Shiffrin in the interview - but now I think I can return in November. I really want to show up at the starting gate, even if a minimum preparation will be needed before Levi, working with a certain intensity between the posts ”. The teammates Moltzan and O''Brien, both in the top 15 in Soelden (with the first at the best result in career), applauded, "they were extraordinary, it was nice to follow them from home", the two Olympic champion also spoke of '' long-term goal, or the third participation in the Games after the gold medals obtained in Sochi 2014 (in slalom) and in PyeongChang 2018 (in giant). "Beijing 2022 is obviously in the thoughts, even if still distant in time". His 2020 devastated by the disappearance of dad Jeff, with everything that happened from the following month with the Covid-19 pandemic, seems to "finally come to an end", but first there is a return to the race awaited by everyone.
